Cookie policy
We meet you in three different places, and each of them handles cookies differently. This policy covers them separately, because the answer differs per place.Last updated: [DATE]

The law that governs this is Article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act. It says: placing or reading anything on a visitor's device needs consent, except when it is strictly necessary to deliver what the visitor asked for, or serves only to enable the communication.
2. The website colloport.nl
2.1 What is placed without consent

This is browser storage and technically not a cookie, but it falls under the same rule. It is necessary: without it we cannot honour your choice.
2.2 What is only placed with your consent

We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit the website and which pages they read. We do not use it to show advertising, and we set no advertising cookies.
As long as you do not give consent, nothing from Google is loaded. The Google Analytics code is disabled by default and is only fetched to your browser after you click "accept". If you decline, or do nothing, nothing happens.
Google is a US company and may process the data outside the European Economic Area. That transfer is covered by the standard contractual clauses set by the European Commission.
2.3 Changing your choice
At the bottom of every page is a link that reopens the cookie notice. There you can change your choice. You can also clear the storage through your browser settings; we will then ask again on your next visit.
2.4 The contact form
If you submit the contact form, we store the IP address and browser data it was sent with alongside your message, to prevent abuse of the form. That is not a cookie, but it belongs to the full picture. See the privacy policy, §3.
3. The web console
No cookies are placed in the console. Not analytics either, not from third parties, and accordingly there is no cookie notice. Some things are kept in your browser storage, and that is needed to be able to use the console:

All of this is either strictly necessary or a preference you set yourself. It needs no consent, and none of it goes to a third party.
3.1 Error logging
If something goes wrong in the console or the mobile app, we send the technical details of that error to a service that collects them for us, so we can fix it. That includes what went wrong and where in the code, and the identifier of the user it happened to. That service processes in Germany.
This is not a cookie and not tracking: nothing is placed that follows you across websites, and something is only sent at the moment an error actually occurs.
4. The mobile app
The mobile app is not a website and uses no cookies.
The app does store on your device what it needs to work: your login session, your preferences, and the token your device uses to receive notifications. That token goes to Apple or Google to be able to deliver a notification. See the privacy policy.
5. What we don't do
- No advertising cookies, and no cookies from advertising networks.
- No social media buttons that read along.
- No tracking your behaviour across other websites.
- No visitor profiles, and no resale of data.
